Spotlight article on: Walker Spirit
Stables
Since opening Walker Spirit Stables, Lisa and Rich Butler have
worked hard to transform the grounds on south Rd. into a
beautiful, peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere. Many
renovations were made, including the addition of a fully lit,
year-round outdoor riding arena with stone dust footing.
Now Lisa and Rich would like to extend an invitation for the people
of Deerfield to come and take a look around.
Although they are open for business every day. Please call
for an appointment to tour the grounds. Meet the staff and the
horses. We have refreshments on most weekends. Come and learn
about the services offered at the stables.
Lessons are given by appointment. The lessons are geared more
towards casual riders who would like to enjoy the quiet, Currier
and Ives-like trails.
Lisa loves teaching children and beginners, and also offers
scenic pony rides. The pony rides are educational and the
children get to brush the pony and enjoy refreshments.
Lisa does not believe in closing her doors to boarders, so
they are able to visit their horses whenever they wish.
